IDE Technologies Attends 2021 Membrane Technology Conference & Exposition

Event Date: 15/07/21

IDE’s Tal Fabian and Gal Greenberg will present two sessions on Pulse Flow Reverse Osmosis during this year’s conference

Hosted by The American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA), the 2021 Membrane Technology Conference is recognized as the premier technical and networking event to learn the latest developments in membrane technology and explore new trends in water and wastewater treatment technologies, desalination and membrane bioreactor applications.

The annual conference brings together an array of experts ranging from consultants, contractors, academics, and federal, state and municipal executives, to scientists, water and wastewater engineers and water utility plant executives – among many others. As a sponsor of the event, IDE Technologies is excited to be among those in attendance and will be exhibiting at booth #514. In addition, two of IDE’s very own will also be speaking during the event.

On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 02:00 PM EDT, Tal Fabian, Team Leader, RO Process Engineer at IDE Technologies will present on: “Pulse Flow RO for Water Reuse Applications – Design Considerations”. As part of his session, Tal will delve into the intricacies of Pulse Flow Reverse Osmosis (PFRO™) technology – a new, innovative method for operating Reverse Osmosis water reuse systems that enables high recovery, high flux and Chloramine-free operation. He will share how this unique PFRO design includes a single stage (as opposed to standard RO systems that include 2-3 stages) that works by constantly changing the osmotic and hydraulic conditions in short intervals, that are below the induction time (the critical period required for a scaling crystal to form), thus scaling is diminished.

On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 02:00 PM EDT, Gal Greenberg, R&D at IDE Technologies will also present on PFRO in a session titled: “Pulse Flow Reverse Osmosis (PFRO) and standard RO Comparison”. To demonstrate the strengths and applications of the PFRO technology, Gal will share four case studies comparing PFRO to the standard RO, showcasing how PFRO addresses both WWRO and BWRO, while relating to technological and economical aspects such as specific energy, chemicals consumption and capital expenses.

Both speaking sessions are located in Ballroom AB of the Exhibition Hall. A full list of speaking sessions can also be found here.

This year’s event takes place July 19 – July 22 in West Palm Beach, FL at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
