IDE Selected to Deliver Advanced PFRO System for Horizon City, Texas
Developed in partnership with TRE & Associates, the facility will produce up to 4.2 million gallons of high-quality drinking water per day
IDE Water Solutions North America has been selected by the Horizon Regional Municipal Utility District to deliver an advanced water treatment facility featuring IDE’s patented Pulse Flow Reverse Osmosis (PFRO) technology.
Developed in partnership with TRE & Associates, the facility will produce up to 4.2 million gallons of high-quality drinking water per day, helping Horizon City address water scarcity and strengthen its long-term water supply.

Unlike conventional reverse osmosis systems, PFRO operates dynamically to improve water recovery, reduce brine volumes and support more sustainable water treatment. The project is currently under construction, with completion targeted for April 2028.
