IDE Water Technologies Signs Seawater Desalination Plant Project Agreement with Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM)
We’re happy to share the news of our recently signed project agreement to develop, build and operate a 200 MLD desalination plant, expandable to 400 MLD, that will increase and diversify the city of Mumbai’s drinking water sources!
As one of the most densely populated cities in the world, Mumbai’s water supply requirement averages 4.4 billion liters per day for domestic, commercial and industrial use. Our seawater desalination plant, to be constructed at Manori, will help to diversity the sources of drinking water, overcome Mumbai metropolitan’s challenging conditions and provide high-quality water at a reduced cost, while also remaining environmentally sustainable.
IDE is excited for the opportunity to partner with MCGM, share our comprehensive water solutions expertise and extensive knowledge of seawater desalination, and work together to ensure that the massive Mumbai metropolitan population, and the industries it supports, have access to clean, reliable drinking water.
