U.S. Chamber of Commerce Delegation Visit the Sorek Desalination Plant

Representatives from regional Chambers of Commerce across the U.S. toured the Sorek Desalination Plant and learned more about IDE’s Advanced Solutions.
The Vice President of Regional Affairs and Advocacy of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Geoff O’Hara, visited the Sorek Desalination Plant with the Senior Director of the Department of Middle East Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Josh Kram, and the Manager of U.S.-Israel Business Initiative for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Liz Clark. They were joined by a delegation of representatives from regional Chambers of Commerce across the U.S. The delegation included President and CEOs from six U.S. Chambers of Commerce including Mr. Mark Eagan, Capital Region Chamber; Mr. Jeremy Arthur, Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama; Mr. Roy Williams, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber; Mr. Robin Anderson, Mason City Chamber of Commerce; Mr. William Sisson, Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce; and Mr. Derek Miller, Salt Lake Chamber and Downtown Alliance. Mr. Joseph Murphy, Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy, Greater Des Moines Partnership, also joined the tour.
Mr. Maayan Sarig, a Solutions Manager from IDE led the tour of the Sorek Desalination Plant, highlighting how IDE’s proprietary technologies can address growing water challenges across the U.S. Maayan also highlighted the benefits of IDE’s desalination systems for municipal water as well as industrial water treatment. As the U.S. continues to face water scarcity that continues to affect both the municipal and industrial sectors, IDE’s solutions would open the door for the country to mitigate growing water concerns. This creates an immense opportunity outside of just California where IDE’s seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) and Eco-Reuse technologies are already being utilized.
