IDE Technologies to Participate in the 2021 International Water Conference (IWC)

Published: 12/10/21

IDE’s Matan Alper to present and demo the benefits of PFRO technology for water reuse applications during the conference

Hosted by the Engineers’ Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP), the 2021 International Water Conference (IWC) presents the latest in scientific advances and practical applications in the water field, cutting across a wide range of industries, technologies and functional areas. As the preeminent international technical forum in the field, the IWC brings together end users, researchers, practicing engineers, managers, educators, suppliers and contractors who are dedicated to advancing new developments in the treatment, use and reuse of water for industrial and other engineering purposes.

Taking place in Scottsdale, Arizona and returning to the beautiful Talking Stick Resort for this year’s in-person event, attendees come to learn unbiased details about the latest applications available in the water industry, get educated on current technology and hold wide ranging discussions with their peers active in water treatment. As a sponsor of the event, IDE Technologies is excited to be among those in attendance and will be exhibiting at booth #204. In addition, three of IDE’s very own will be speaking and showcasing a demo during the event.

On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 10:20 am MST, Matan Alper, Business Development and Product Manager at IDE Technologies will present on: “Increasing Productivity of an Existing RO Plant BY Reducing the Rejected Brine Stream by 80%”. As part of his session, he will discuss how PFRO technology leverages mechanical and chemical ingenuity to solve conventional reverse osmosis (RO) challenges and showcase how this technology is most suitable for water reuse applications, in which biofouling and scaling are the natural limiting factors for higher recovery.

Using the company’s Abilene PFRO demo case study, Matan will demonstrate how, by constantly changing osmotic and hydraulic conditions, PFRO prevents bacteria reproduction, reduces scaling, extends membrane lifespan and leads to higher water production and higher recovery, compared to traditional RO.
